“Started by a firefighter tired of having to buy the whole pie or slice when all he wanted was a few bites. It’s not exactly a pie, cake or even a cupcake. It’s a Pi-byte! A pie the size of a large cupcake and has the taste of an amazing adventure that will have your taste buds soaring. We’ve taken tradition out of pies and added our innovative Pi-bytes twist.”
Yesterday we were talking about stories. Granted, specifically bedtime stories and stories your parents and grandparents would sit you on their lap to tell.
This is a different kind of story. This is a story of a man…versus an entire pie.
You all know one of my favorite things to do is get crafty in the kitchen. Darrell Sprattling has taken that concept to an entirely new level. Introducing, Pi-bytes.
Why didn’t I think of this?
Pi-bytes are scrumptious little cakes. Well, not really cakes or cupcakes. Not really pies either. Mini cheesecakes? No, not quite. Pi-bytes are exactly that…Pi-bytes. They are a completely original idea; a hybrid cake, cheesecake, pie, cookie cupcake creation that you you can’t fully understand until you order a few for yourself!
Pi-bytes was started by firefighter Darrell Sprattling who was “tired of having to buy an entire pie”. He simply wanted a few bites…hence, the beginnings of Pi-bytes. He took that idea and ran with it, forming a very successful business. Family and friends have fallen completely head over heels for Pi-bytes. They have now been in business for a little over a year.
Pi-bytes has shipped all over the United States from California to Martha’s Vineyard. “We are delighted that such a diversity of people are enjoying our product,” says Darrell.
Darrell, I am one of those people. Yes, I am. My name is Melissa and I am a Pi-Bytes fan.
I had the joy of sampling Darrell’s Pi-bytes and…just. Wow. You can’t possibly pick a favorite because they are all so very unique and absolutely delicious! My order included one of each flavor; Amaretto German Chocolate Cheesecake, Bailey’s Bourbon White Chocolate Pecan, Caramel Apple Cheesecake, Kahlua Velvet Cheesecake, Strawberry Lemonade, Sweet Potato Praline and Tequila Lime. Last night Hass and I split the Amaretto German Chocolate Cheesecake and the Caramel Apple Cheesecake. To. Die. For.
What a great treat for Halloween!
I don’t buy desserts often, but when I do…it will be Pi-bytes.
Bon Appetit y’all!
